In Lens, use the permission action to request Screen Recording access.
Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording and enable Compoose Lens.
Return to Lens. If macOS does not refresh the permission, quit and reopen the app.
02
AI actions are unavailable
Confirm that your Mac supports Apple Intelligence and that it is enabled in System Settings.
Translate, Summarize, Explain, and Ask need Apple's on-device language model. Capture, annotation, OCR, tables, and exports do not.
If Apple Intelligence is still preparing its model, wait for macOS to finish and reopen Lens.
03
Saving or exporting fails
Choose a new save location in Lens Settings, or select a destination when prompted.
Confirm that the selected folder still exists and that your Mac has free storage.
For recognized tables, correct the cells before exporting CSV or TSV when necessary.
04
Check compatibility
Compoose Lens requires macOS 26 or later.
Screen Recording permission is required for capture.
Lens has no account or network requirement. Optional AI actions depend on Apple Intelligence availability.
