Compoose Lens

Privacy Policy

Effective 30 July 2026

What Lens collects

Compoose Lens does not collect or send personal information. It has no account, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or crash-reporting service. Gneffin cannot see your captures, recognized text, AI requests, or app usage.

Processing on your Mac

Captures, OCR, Live Text, table recognition, face and code detection, sensitive-content suggestions, and optional Apple Intelligence actions are processed on your Mac. Lens does not have network access and does not upload this content.

Permissions

Screen Recording permission is required to capture your display. You grant or revoke it in System Settings > Privacy & Security. Revoking it prevents Lens from capturing the screen.

Files, settings, and clipboard

  • Captures remain in memory unless you copy, save, or export them.
  • Files are written only to a location you choose.
  • App preferences and your selected save location are stored locally on your Mac.
  • Content you copy is placed on the macOS clipboard at your request and may then be available to other apps or devices according to your system settings.

Links, website, and support

Lens opens a detected link only when you choose to open it. Your browser and the destination website then apply their own privacy practices.

This website is hosted by Vercel, which may process ordinary request data to deliver and secure the site. If you email support, Gneffin receives the address, message, and files you choose to send. Lens does not send support data automatically.

Your control and deletion

You control the captures and exports stored on your Mac. Delete saved files and remove Lens and its local settings to remove content created or retained by the App. Gneffin cannot access or delete content that never leaves your Mac.

Changes and contact

We will update this page and its effective date before a release changes how Lens handles information. Questions can be sent to support@gneffin.com.
